For the second time in a row Goa Ophthalmological Association was awarded  with the Best State Society Award by the AIOS in the category of < 100 members for promoting scientific and educational activities in the year 2024-25.The award was received by Dr. Alethea Barbosa (President G.O.A.), Dr. Nikhil Kamat (Secretary G.O.A.) and Dr. Girish Velis (MC Member AIOS) on behalf of the association at the APAO - AIOS conference held in New Delhi in April 2025.
